Highlights from the Walt Disney World Summer Celebrations
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom is planning a bash in honor of its 50th anniversary, ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration’, kicking off on October 1st. Be ready for enchanting new nighttime spectaculars – both at the theme park and across the lake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- The Magic Kingdom Park is ready to scale new heights with its ‘Happily Ever After’ nighttime spectacular. This is a grand celebration featuring contemporary versions of classic Disney songs, a repainted Cinderella Castle, and much, much more!
- The SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Orlando Resort are following Disney’s lead and launching their respective summer engagement programs. Get soaked at SeaWorld’s Electric Ocean or experience Universal’s Summer of Epic Adventure. Either way, much fun is to be had!
- Finally, Disney guests can look forward to the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. This 2-day, all immersive adventure will launch in 2022 and promises to be one-of-a-kind with an incredible storyline, intergalactic cuisine, and real Lightsaber experiences!

Alright Mouseketeers, buckle up your Mickey ears, because this summer Disney is going more extra than Goofy on espresso! Celebrating its 50th anniversary with nighttime spectaculars? Love that journey for them. Cinderella’s castle getting a makeover? More like #HouseGoals. And Star Wars fans, hold onto your lightsabers, because you’re going to actually LIVE in a space opera soon! Electric Ocean or Epic Adventure, whatever floats your boat, or should I say ‘flotsam’? And after a year that’s felt like Cruella De Vil designed it, these celebrations by Disney seem to be just the magic we need to shake off the pumpkin carriage blues!
