- The Walt Disney World Resort has had a productive year, welcoming over 300 baby animals, contributing to the healthy growth of diverse animal populations.
- The new additions include aquatic and terrestrial critters, such as cuttlefish, an eagle ray pup, an aardvark, a red river hog piglet, and a myriad of bird species.
- The Animals, Science and Environment team at Disney diligently works to care for the baby animals, preparing them for their grand on-stage debuts.
- Two Hartmann’s mountain zebra foals, Cricket and Dot, have been spotted frolicking around at Kilimanjaro Safaris in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
- In June, a set of amiable cotton-top tamarin twins was born, and they’ve been pulling at park visitors’ heartstrings ever since.
- At the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, results are in and it’s a girl! A yellow-backed duiker mom named Pearl introduces Penny, the new baby antelope attraction.
- Pixie is the newest, most precious little Shetland pony foal at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, expected to eventually join Cinderella’s carriage team.

Well, well, well, if it isn’t Disney’s version of “Call the Midwife”! While we’ve been perfecting our mask fashion and experimenting with homemade banana bread, Walt Disney World Resort has been a literal animal maternity ward. Actively involved in everything from cuttlefish C-sections to zebra foals’ first steps, Disney’s animal birth stats are a love letter to Mother Nature. The Animal Kingdom’s new reality show alumni – two zebra foals, a pair of tamarin twins, a yellow-backed duiker and a pony named Pixie – are here to remind us all, the circle of life does involve some really cute critters. Turns out, Disney’s numerous diaper changes and late-night feedings were not in vain, after all.
